Installation of a First Reference System within the RES Program Marks FENECON’s Market Entry in Lithuania and the Baltics

FENECON’s entry into the Lithuanian market and the Baltic region is supported by the RES Programme. As FENECON’s official country partner, Elinta has played a central role in implementing and commissioning the reference system, which was successfully installed at its company site in Kaunas. The project represents an important milestone and marks the beginning of FENECON’s long-term commitment to supporting the energy transition in Lithuania and the Baltics with intelligent, scalable storage solutions. As part of this project, FENECON is conducting various marketing activities, events, and training courses to strategically accompany and strengthen its market entry in Lithuania.

FENECON Reference Project in Lithuania

In May 2025, FENECON GmbH successfully installed its first reference system in Lithuania at the premises of Elinta in Kaunas.  A system called FENECON Home 20, with a power output of 20 kW and a storage capacity of 28 kWh, is used to support Elinta in achieving its energy goals on multiple levels.  The system maximizes the self-consumption of the company’s own photovoltaic installation and also serves as an emergency power supply, significantly increasing energy independence. In addition, it enables participation in grid services and the use of dynamic electricity tariffs. By integrating charging stations from Elinta Charge – a company of the Elinta Group – it also allows for intelligent control of on-site EV charging. Overall, the system not only reduces energy costs but also creates additional revenue potential through forward-looking, intelligent energy management.

FENECON’s Market Entry in Lithuania

FENECON’s market entry in Lithuania is driven in large part by the country’s ambitious national energy strategy and its increased integration into the European power grid. With Lithuania’s withdrawal from the BRELL power network and the simultaneous expansion of renewable energies, the demand for intelligent battery storage solutions is growing significantly. With its fully in-house developed FENECON Energy Management System (FEMS), FENECON offers the technological expertise to actively support the energy transition in Lithuania and ensures the long-term efficient operation of renewable energy sources. A demo version of the FEMS is available to demonstrate its core functions and user interface.

German Energy Solutions Initiative

With the aim of positioning German technologies and know-how worldwide, the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) supports suppliers of climate-friendly energy solutions in opening up foreign markets. The focus lies on renewable energies, energy efficiency, smart grids and storage, as well as technologies such as power-to-gas and fuel cells. Aimed in particular at small and medium-sized enterprises, the German Energy Solutions Initiative supports participants through measures to prepare market entry as well as to prospect, develop and secure new markets. www.german-energy-solutions.de/GES/Navigation/EN/Home/home.html

Renewable Energy Solutions Programme (RES Programme)

With the RES Programme, the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) helps German companies in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors enter new markets. Within the framework of the Programme, reference plants are installed and marketed with the support of the German Energy Agency (dena). Information and training activities help ensure a sustainable market entry and demonstrate the quality of climate-friendly technologies made in Germany. www.german-energy-solutions.de/GES/Redaktion/EN/Basepages/Services/dena-res.html
